I just read this regarding gluten. Is it really backed up with scientific evidence? Or just relevant to people with celiac disease or wider gut / diet issues? 3 Ways To Reduce Leaky Gut And Leaky Brain: Avoid gluten in your diet. Gluten contains a protein called gliadin that stimulates zonulin, which in turn increases permeability (leakiness) of our gut and blood brain barrier.

I’ll keep this one short.
There is no reason for a typical healthy person to avoid gluten.
As you suggest, the article title is about ways to reduce a leaky gut (rather than ways to avoid developing one in the first place). I’m not sure that all leaky guts are necessarily accompanied by gluten intolerance or vice versa. But they probably do go together quite often. So if you have a leaky gut, I would suggest doing everything you can to sort it out. If cutting out gluten seems to help, then go with it.
But if you don’t have a leaky gut (or some other specific condition that makes gluten a problem) then there is no reason not to eat gluten.
